I am searching for a source for the Philips adapter cable which has at one end a FEMALE 13 pin DIN, and at the other end the Mitsumi plug for the monitor. This is a short cable to adapt the Carin 520 cable to a 16:9 monitor. In the USA, I cannot find a source to buy this item.

Hi Charlie,
as far as I know there was no such adaper cable.
There is a complete 6m monitor cable to connect the 16:9 monitor to the 22SY586. It was used to connect the 22SY587 (out of the SY522) with the new monitor.

As far as I understand you are looking for a monitorcable for the carin 522 with the 16:9 monitor. This cable has a round 13 pin male plug on the unit side and a mitsumi 16 pin female plug on the monitor side, so it exists for good. Where too get it I even don't know.
I am currently looking for a pinout map for this cable, because the one I own is damaged..
