MFD2 and sprachen/languages + updates

Hi,

I'll write a bit in english because my german isn't very good naja

I have been reading hundreds of pages trying to find a way to select DANISH language on my new MFD2. I have the normal TeleATLAS v2 DVD loaded where the language is included, but the MFD2 isn't able to select it.

Furthermore I have read that you can change the order of languages on the CD version for the older models. This should be possible for the DVD version aswell, and I tried to copy my DVD and then I wanted to change the files as I heard it worked with the CD version. BUT, the problem is that my MFD2 doesn't even want to accept the copied DVD. It's just complaining about wrong format.

So it seems not possible for me to make it work that way. The question then is if TeleATLAS can provide a DVD that has languages in a different order but without maps, just so that all we nordic people would be able to load the native languages. I emailed them about it about 3 months ago, but got absolutely NO feedback whatsoever. Very disappointing. Anyone for some good ideas???

And last but not least, where can I get software updates for my MFD2 9K0035198B (DVD)???

Doesn't look promising. No replies at all sad
I wonder if there isn't any fixes/updates or the readers of this forum just doesn't know it naja

Danish isn't part of the DVD, so you can't select ist. There is no way to add.

They could - if they would - but I think the wouldn't lach
Send a PN to the user teleatlas here in the Forum. I'm sure he will answer. But I'm also sure, that they are not willing to do so.

I remember, that there was a link in one Forum. But I don't remember witch it was...

Best regards
Marc

MFD2 DVD does not support Danish. VW is responsable for the supported languages.
By using the same DVD in an after market system, you will be able to select danish. It is on the DVD.

The language support is not from VW. I just checked the Blaupunkt version of the software:

http://fe0wap79.bosch.de/intershoproot/files/serviceDocuments/7612150020001_PI_DE.pdf

and they do not list any Scandinavian language support.

I imagine that TeleAtlas feels that English is so widely spoken in Scandinavia that the market does not justify this.

TA is only the data supplier. They are not responsable for any languages in navigation systems.

The MFD2 DVD is a Blaupunkt product developed for VW.
System languages are preselected by VW.

After market system can support some more languages, because they do not have to care for languages in the radio an video area.

In after marked system (EX-V), it can be possible to get more languages than the known ones.
The current DX Versions http://www.navshop.com/product_dyn/5914/de_alps-2006-2007-mre-tmc-blaupunkt-dx.pdf
do support some more languages. I do expect those languages also for the EX-V Systems on the next DVD.

Sorry but Blaupunkt also manufactures a Blaupunkt Navi that uses the EX DVDs. So stop blaming VW.

I never want to blame VW.
