In my Opel Omega I also have a Philips Carin Navigation System installed.
Identifying data of my system:(before update)

It worked well, but I had the same problem with language and software.
1.) Navigation CDs
I found a company in Germany who distribute navigation CDs, but ONLY INSIDE GERMANY.

2.) Software update (also language change)
you should get a language CD(Betriebsystem-CD) (compatible with this system) from company VDO-Dayton
here is an advice what I saw on internet:
"zuerst einmal benötigst du eine Betriebsystem-CD. Damit kannst du die Sprache einstellen und das Gerät auf den aktuellen Stand bringen.
Die CD bekommst du bei VDO-Dayton, einfach mal das Help-Desc anrufen TEL.06441/370674
Lass dir von denen die Version 2.5 schicken, das ist nach den allgemeinen Erfahrungen die neueste Version die das Opel-Carin akzeptiert. Mit etwas Glück schicken die dir die CD sogar kostenlos."

If you still have the problem, drop me an e-mail, I have an original Opel language CD for Carin, wich I can eventually put on a ftp server in case you need it.

I bought from germany Opel Vectra Bertone and i have the navi with german language can u sent me the linkor ftp to download the language plz
